This is in response to a very long piece by Philip Young...I didn't feel
like editing.

I realise that our governments have not been doing enough to create
wealth and employment and various other indusrious sort of things.
Originally, my argument against the space program had nothing to do with
funds (or very little) and I was mainly concerned with the attention
given to hose programs by government as opposed to more earth-bound
programs to create wealth. I still don't like the idea of the constant
need to expand our frontiers to feed our ever increasing lust for wealth
and material standard of living. I realise there are plenty of arguments
against my position, and that space exploration is a very viable and
impressive way to generate wealth for Canada's technology industries and
provide resources for the future. I just don't like it, and I'm not sure
I can explain why. I feel very indifferent to this debate right now, and
frankly just want a pair of tickets to a jets game. I guess that means
I'm going to be unfulfilled for quite a while...

Anyway, feel free to discuss amongst yourselves. Here, I'll give you a
topic: the post-modern critique is neither post-modern, or a critique.
Discuss.
