I do not think it possible to get rich in this business right now but currently in this area anyway the pay is considerably higher on the civil servant side. I do know that it is not necessarily good to be a civil servant right now for NASA because there is going to be serious contraction soon. No more buy outs I would imagine. If Congress gets what it wants then we may actually see a civil servant force layoff. So the point is that no one thinks there is a way to get rich in this business. If you are bright and talented and young and want to succeed go into another line of business. This is obvious. Do not think that there is a cushy civil servant job waiting for you because it is not true. Do not think that you are walking into a secure career with a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow because it just isn't so. Clearly this is the case. This profession relies entirely on the whims of government to sustain it. Currently the federal government has chosen to cut way back on NASA funding. NASA has chosen to handle this by trying to eliminate the market for talent and thereby forcibly drive wages down. That is all that is being stated here. No one is really complaining that civil servants are getting rich. I know some people who jumped to NASA for as much as a 50% pay increase. But 50% of nothing is nothing. Overall we are all getting a lot less than we would be making if we had more foresight and went into a different field. Tom. -- My opinions are just that.
