This message is being posted as information and/or a request for
volunteers to those interested in space-related news and events in the
Greater Los Angeles area (Apologies to those outside of CA who may not be
interested in this, I don't know how to limit distribution with this
news service.)
------------- cut here -------------

1) Volunteers are needed to brief government officials on the X-33
project, particularly from the point of view of the Space Frontier
Foundation's, National Space Society's, and California Space Development
Council's desire to keep the program a focused "X-Plane". Please contact
me ASAP by e-mail if you are interested.

2) The OASIS chapter of NSS will be in Pasadena for the opening of the
Apollo 13 movie (starring Tom Hanks as Jim Lovell) on Friday, June 30.
We will pass out NSS material printed by Universal Studios, collect
signatures on the CSDC/NSS "I Want To Go Petition", and then see the show
en masse. Those interested in volunteering and/or attending please
contact Steve Bartlett (Spahseebah@aol.com) or myself.

3) Advance notice: Robert Zubrin of Lockheed-Martin will be in Orange
County at the end of July for public talks to the Orange County Space
Society, OASIS, and Orange County Mensa about the Air Propellant Vehicle
concept (aka "Black Horse" - see June 1995 issue of "Analog" magazine).
More details when available.
