Well put - start the New Year off right.

However.... I have encountered the rantings of the schizophrenic Dr. Beter
in other newsgroups. In those other cases the poster was McElwaine
himself. Yet here in s.s.s the poster was not McElwaine but Jon Volkoff.
Could it be that as a result of making himself a nuisance once too often
McElwaine has been denied net access? Could this be done to Volkoff as
well? Or at least keep him out of the sci newsgroups?

I realize that this is not a nice thing, but neither is the incredible
waste of bandwidth resulting from these incessant postings. IMHO it's also
not fair to have battles of wits with unarmed opponents, which is what
"debating" McElwaine and Volkoff amounts to.
