A friend of mine who's a biologist is currently doing cluster analysis on some statistics relating to plants, etc. She's using an Euclidian distance and Ward's method for grouping of observations - in SYSSTAT (but the tool should matter). Can any of you please explain this method to me. It seems easy to understand the method from the text books, however my hand calculated results doesn't match those produced by SYSSTAT. Please answer by mail. - Anders --------------------------------------------------------------------- Anders Borjesson anders@viking.roskildees.dk Roskilde Business College Home: Bakkesvinget 67 Dommervaenget 24 E, 1. door 2 DK-4000 Roskilde DK-4000 Roskilde Phone: (+45) 46 35 56 51 (219) (+45) 42 36 29 33
