LINDA, 

Steve's comment is niether arrogant nor uncalled-for (in fact it was quite 
fair; and, overtly solicited).  There is nothing wrong w/ steve giving that 
opinion because it cannot be *assumed* this person would 'get an editor' 
nor that this person has a clue.  Since this person is asking for advice, 
and the specific advise given by Steve is point blank the most apearantly 
needed,  i don't see a problem.  Furthermore if the inquirer is writing 
this for a thesis or other scholarly purpose they will have to get use to a 
little 'tough luv' :-)
