If you work or think in systems concepts, you can benefit
from the application of systems engineering processes.
Systems engineering or engineering of systems is increasingly
important to developing competitive products in today's markets.
You may not think of yourself as a systems engineer but this
discipline has much to offer you in professional development.
The systems engineering approach can improve the effectiveness
of all disciplines.
INCOSE is an international organization formed to develop,
nurture, and enhance the system engineering approach to
multi-disciplines system product development.
INCOSE can help you and your company become a leader by
applying the systems approach to solving your and your company's
problems
Do any of these affect you, your job or your company?
A Systematic Approach to End Product Development
Balancing Cost, Schedule & Performance
Systems Architecture
Concurrent/Simultaneous Engineering
Total Quality Management

Translating Customer/User Needs into Automation: Violent
Interaction or Working Team?
Barbara and Kris Bicknell, Bicknell Consulting, Inc
A key element in information managment today is turning process
improvement and requirements into automated solutions. This effort
is often called Business Process Reengineering, or some other
quality acronym. The link between computers and the rest of an
organization (and the external customer) is forged in increasing
pathways; consequently, the requirement for users to interface and
be involved with the software developers during software development
grows ever more critical. Unfortunately this relationship is
increasingly more volatile. The speakers will discuss how this process
can become more cooperative and less confrontational using the
Repeatable Success Method (R) and employing Quality Function
Deployment. The Bicknells will describe how this methodology works
better than the MOH ("Miracle Occurs Here") approach to software
development and requirements identification!
