Postdoctoral Position in the Field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging
================================================================

A postdoctoral position is available at the Johns Hopkins University,
Department of Radiology, MRI division. The position relates to a 5 year
funded project focused on the quantitative study of myocardial dynamics at
rest and stress coupled with perfusion measures in animals and humans with
MR. An early component of the grant is the implementation of currently
existing methods on an echo-planar capable scanner (Signa 5.x SR-230 triple
axis EPI system) to achieve high speed acquisitions. Several experiments
are planned to derive functional parameters with these methods in both
normals and patients with ischemic heart disease. The postdoctoral fellow
will be responsible for both image acquisition and analysis of the various
experiments.

This position requires a Ph.D. in a related discipline with a
background in MR imaging and a knowledge of pulse sequence programming
(preferably on a GE Signa system) coupled with experience in cardiovascular
imaging. Experience with Unix, C, computer graphics, real-time programming
numerical analysis would be an asset.
