Optiscan F900e confocal system

I am interested in any comments concerning the Optiscan F900e confocal
laser scanning system.

Optiscan seems to offer an unbeatable price of about 70k US$, compared to
120-200k of other companies. I would like to know if this is reflected in
the quality and performance of this product?

One differnce I noticed is the invariable pinhole size. I suppose it is
preset to a value giving good z-resolution and therefore low light-levels.
Is this a practical disadvantage?

The F900 is distributed in the US by AxonInstruments and by Optiscan
(autralia) elsewhere, but there is no german (european?) distributor. Does
anybody in europe already use this system? If so, is there good technical
support?

thanks, Jan
