At the end of the month the Journal of Structural Biology will publish a   
special issue on "Advances in Computational Image Processing for Microscopy". 
  
The issue contains over thirty articles desribing software techniques and  
packages for image analysis that are likely to constitute a valuable resource 
for several years.
