Applicants are invited to apply for a Research Fellow position in the
Department of Medicinal Chemistry (Monash University).  The position is for a
protein chemist with PhD to work on a structure-based drug design project of
enzymes implicated in the complications of diabetes.  The appoitment is for one
year in the first instance and is renewable for a total of three years.  There
are currently 60 personnel working in the department on various aspects of drug
design and development.  The department is well equipped for protein
purification and molecular biology techniques.  While preference is given to
applicants with knowledge in molecular biology and/or protein crystallisation,
all applications will be considered.

Salary is in the range of $A 38,092 - 40,889
