                    ANNOUNCEMENT FOR UK-BASED RESEARCHERS

                   Open Meeting to Discuss Proposal for a
                     High-Resolution Powder Diffraction
                             Beamline on DIAMOND

An open meeting to discuss the above proposal will take place on
Wednesday 3rd October 2001 at Birkbeck College, London, from 13:00
to 17:30. Further details and a provisional agenda are now available
on the following web page:

Anyone interested in this proposal is strongly encouraged to attend.
Our apologies for the short timescale, but the deadline for submissions
to the SAC is 1st November 2001 and your input is needed now!
