Euroconference on Phasing Biological Macromolecules (Phabio)
Martina Franca - Italy;  June 23-27, 2001

Aims:
a) evaluating perspectives and potentiality of the so
    called DIRECT METHODS;
b) evaluating trend and potentiality of the modern MAD,
    MIR, SIRAS etc.;
c) integrating direct methods with MAD, MIR, SIRAS techniques
   and with ELECTRON DIFFRACTION information;
d) estimating potentiality of MODERN REFINEMENT TECHNIQUES and
   their validation;
e) training young scientists towards modern crystallographic
   techniques.

A maximum of 80 participants are allowed
(lecturers included)

Dead line : March 23,  2001

Grants are available for young scientists

I have a question to people who remember the early days of
crystallography :

Did least-square program LINUS ( mentioned by P.Coppens and W.C.Hamilton
in Acta Cryst.(1970), A26, 71-83) use block-diagonal or full-matrix
approach ?

Thanks a lot.
