It is important to remember that epilepsy is not at all well
understood, and is essentially a "garbage can" diagnosis. That is, if
you have epileptic type seizures now and then, and no one can really
show why, the doctors toss you into the epilepsy category. Because of
this, there are many different "kinds" of epilepsy. Many epileptics
can pass the "strobe test" (mentioned in previous posts) without a
problem. On the other hand, some people who fail the strobe test (and
have a seizure) show no other signs of epilepsy, and are not labeled
as epileptics.

I guess what I am trying to say here, is this: Please be careful not
to make sweeping statements about what will or will not affect
epileptics, because you will probably be wrong for a large percentage
of cases.
