Me too. I've heard the letterbox, gone to pick up the "you weren't in"
card, and by the time I've opened the door the "employee" has
scarpered. The most important reason for me giving up on Scot Gas was
the enormous difficulty they had in going as far as knocking on my
door to read the meter, or paying any attention to the readings I
filled on the cards I posted back to them. It's nice to know that
they're having such success in recycling the pool of long-term
unemployables into Scot Gas employees, but I do think, harsh and
unkind though it may seem, they ought to start some kind of aptitude
testing.
