I'm neither: but you can't deny there are problems with cramming large
amounts of people into very small spaces (ie. cities), _or_ that the
resultant costs from congestion to the economy are dizzying.

However, while I won't deny that there are fundamental problems with
rail transport, or that recreating Scotland's locomotive past is
pointless -- I also believe that the 'writing off' of rail transport
almost on a point of principle is equally fruitless.
