Hi Friends, I am a new resident to the SC area!, off of Laurel road. I am checking to see if there is a Muslim activities group in the Santa Cruz Area that I can partake in. I also heard of the possibility of a new Mosque? Best Regards /R

Oh good, thanks; I was jumping on this, but all I could find was a listing for the Bahai center; I don't think the Muslims and Bahais get along too well, so I was hesitant to post it.

The two sites may be about to declare Jihad against each other. The
civil war in Sunnistan and Shiiastan is breaking out all over the
Muslim world.
(And at least two parties have nukes...)
Don't be in the "wrong" mosque when holy warriors bomb it. Don't be on
a bus with people in either robes or kaffiyehs or Muslim headresses, as
an increasingly common way of gettting to Paradise is to stop a bus and
execute everyone on board.
The U.S. blundered badly by adopting its strategy of relying on coal
and oil ("No nukes! Split wood, not atoms!") several decades ago, and
now the Greenies are freaking out that all the coal and oil burning is
triggering major climate changes. Well, duh!
And the reliance on oil got us messing around between Sunnistan,
Shiiastan, and Jewistan. And now look at where we are.
At least I picked my compound wisely. Nothing from the prevailing winds
direction except a few miles of rural properties and a lot of ocean. A
good place to ride the storm out, or as the mangled words of a popular
song put it, "Riding the storm out, waiting for the fallout."
