I was surprised to learn that the Macintosh was conceived/invented by a Jew, Jef Raskin. Few people realize how anti-jewish the Silicon Valley culture is and this would explain the rise of Steve Jobs to take credit for anything and everything having to do with the Mac. I own a mac. I have always identified it with Steve Jobs. Now I must think differently. Perhaps Steve should join this flame to defend himself.

I like people who dream impossible dreams, even when they're obvious lunatics. I think he's the same whacko who pretended that not only was Bill Gates Jewish, but that he should get on Usenet to deny it, & if he didn't, it meant he was - just an *incredible* moron! Susan

Why does it matter so much to that particular Jewish guy, Nomen, at any rate? Okay, so they invented a major religion as well: yup, Christ started off Jewish before converting to Christianity. So what? Go back far enough and you discover they also gave the world a nasty new way of killing people (make them welcome into your tent and when they're asleep bang a tent-peg into one ear and out of the other). What does it matter that the inventor of the Mac was or wasn't a Jew? Jews invented lots but they also didn't invent lots. Who cares? Kind regards, Devi

Thanks for showing both your ignorance & your bigotry: Jael wasn't Jewish. What does it > matter that the inventor of the Mac was or wasn't a Jew? (Read Sherlock's Tryal of The Witnesses for Resurrection proofs or link to http://lamplightmus.topcities.com/write.html) Many of Christ's early followers and detractors were Jewish and of many other ethnic origins as well. Many Old Testament writings refer to battles and wars fought by the Jews in direct response to God's command to drive out the heathen, pagan cultures whose practices and influence would weaken and dilute the nation He had chosen to preserve and prosper as His own. Not all Jews or Christians always choose to follow God's laws and will and this is clearly revealed throughout the scriptures with the resulting consequences.

Of course He did not 'invent' Christianity in that sense. And it should be possible, I should have thought, to combine a conventional Christian or Jewish faith with a sense of humour... You're a technological nitwit. "Nomen Nescio" is one of several handles associated with anonymous remailers. Do a search, if you know how to, to verify this. Are you really a Jewess? --Tim May
