A guy doing some tree work for me told me about an incident he observed today (Tues., 2 March), around noon, in front of the K-Mart on 41st Ave. in Capitola, CA. (A town a few miles from Santa Cruz, for those outside this area.) This K-Mart parking lot is one of the primary "Illegal alien worker pick-up zones," where home owners and small businesses pick up day laborers for off-the-books, under-the-table day labor. There are several such pick-up zones in Santa Cruz County, with some of them having 30-40 illegal aliens (or in PC speak: "undocumented workers") milling around. Anyway, my tree trimmer saw an elderly woman in a green Toyota sedan pull up to where some of the Mexicans were milling around. As he described it, the car was immediately surrounded by about 20-30 men. She either couldn't reach a deal, or she got flustered by the huge crowd, or something, as she started to pull away. Her car was blocked by several Mexicans and then dozens of them proceeded to _lift up_ her car from all sides. (Both my tree guy and I said to each other that had this happened, we'd've gunned our engines and--hopefully, when one of the drive wheels touched down again--killed a few of these wetbacks. Citing fear of imminent death as our defense in court. "Better to be tried by twelve citizens than carried by six or carried by 20 Mexicans.") He said the Mexicans let the car down and the flustered (in his opinion) old lady drove away. He told me he considered crossing the street to chase the Mexicans away, but it all happened and was over fairly quickly (and of course, without some serious firepower, fighting off 20 Mexican illegals is dangerous...the Korean shop owners found that only shotguns and AR-15s from rooftops worked against the negroes and Mexicans). We both plan to look for a report on this incident in tomorrow's "Santa Cruz Sentinel" (online summarized version at : <http://www.santacruzsentinel.com/> ) A general comment: These parking lots are filled with roving bands of Mexicans. Up until about 5-7 years ago, roughly, the white buses used by INS were seen fairly regularly, with INS raiding places where illegal aliens were found. No more. My neighbor called about some illegals working for one of his competitors, and was told by the San Francisco office (50 miles away) that the offices were being moved back to Washington, D.C. There have not been raids for illegal aliens in several years here in Santa Cruz (or San Jose, as near as I can find out). Beach Flats, Pajaro, Watsonville, and several other nearby areas are teeming with illegals. And yet INS does nothing. And some fraction of those illegals are the desperate men wandering around in the K-Mart and San Lorenzo Lumber parking lots, picking up the cars of little old ladies. And cops and sheriffs are nowhere to be seen. It's why people should carry guns within easy reach, the law be damned. The "law" would just as soon look the other way as Mexican illegals do their thing, but is worried that an NRA member will dare to have his Second Amendment-guaranteed firearm rights. What a disgusting nation this has turned into. --Tim May

Be sure and cc: a few of your local politicians too.

My father came to the same conclusion almost 50 years ago when he read in the papers that an elderly San Francisco man had been convicted of manslaughter for shooting an intruder through a closed door, seconds before the intruder would have kicked in the door. That was the final straw for my father. But my father was no Usenet whiner. He didn't run his mouth off; he got the hell out of here and moved to a another country. And not that it's ironic or anything but he moved to Mexico, where I was born and grew up.

If only those Mexicans had owned their own guns -- they wouldn't have had to strain themselves trying to pick up the car! Free guns for undocumented workers!

Make that free bullets at a substantial muzzle velocity for illegal
aliens.

It just might have ended up being her "last Anglo gasp." I am reminded of another old gray mare, Fern Peak, who almost lost it up in Humboldt County some years ago when her only son's only daughter married a glorified wetback from Lost Angeleez. She was by birth a white southern gentlewoman, raised within a social tradition that has long since fallen to the wayside. To add insult to injury, her son, James Peak, had become an unemployed (and unemployable) elementary school principal who was caught comingling school assets with his own bank account... not to mention the usual Peed-Oh-Filia" charges that go with the turf. He was reduced to living off his mother, stealing her blind after attaining power of attorney. Her hated his mother so much that he encouraged his daughter to hook up with L.A. Jose and further aggravated her mental condition by hiring a Jehovah's Witness (herself married to a deadbeat "knee-grow") to act as her caretaker. Needless to say, she croaked shortly thereafter. But there wasn't much left to steal by then. Seems ol' Jimmy had already pretty well wiped out -the family fortune. Say, isn't this how the Irish succeeded??? ------------------------ "Life is a B*tch, and then you die." ~Stoic Joe, Streetcorner Philosopher
