These types of listing, actuarial summaries, leave one thing out
of the equation: time of exposure, the amount of time operating,
traveling in or on, and accounts of distances traveled. A person
operating or traveling in an automobile is exposed for greater times
than a person operating or traveling in an airplane. There are very
few, if any, documentations of exposure to miles by time factors. An
equation that would factor in riding or horse or in a horse and buggy
mode of travel would be far less than a person on a bicycle. Hopes
this jogs some thinking on the subject as you step over the "road
apples" of sophist arguments.
