In San Francisco, the quickest response was about 15 min. The slowest was about an hour. One driver told me that many calls for tows turn into only jumpstarts. That was good to them because they get paid $60/call. The more calls they can get to, the more they make. They also can get paid by the hour. At the end of the day, the driver would calculate how much they made. If they didn't get enough calls during the shift, then they get paid by the hour. : I've waited quite a while (usually around 40 minutes to an hour) : the 3 times I've used AAA in the 15 years or so that I've had their : sevice (2 batteries and a lockout). While this isn't _too_ bad, : depending on where I'm stuck, I'd prefer faster response. : So does anyone know of road service companies that guarantee : rapid service?
