I hear you - it's their sanctimonious attitude about. Rather than state up 
front that they will not give cats to people who declaw they have you fill 
out a form with the question (among many other nosy things) so they can 
lecture about it. They can keep and pay for all the cats they want in that 
regard, but they won't be getting any donations from me to support it.
