I have used this $12 program since 1992.  It prepares both Fed
and California returns simultaneously.  It is easy to use and I
highly recommend it.  It is great for doing "What Ifs" as it
recalculates within 1 second.

I have nothing to do with this program other than as a satisfied,
long-term user.  Don't let the $12 delivered price minimize your
interest in this software.  It's written by David Osman, an IRS
enrolled agent, who lives in San Diego.  Why he sells it so
cheaply, I don't know.  But it is worth taking a look at this
hidden gem.
