I moved to San Diego recently, and I'm looking for advice on buying a place to live. Pointers to specific neighbourhoods would be very useful. I'd also be grateful for advice on good real estate agents, and on any peculiarities of the San Diego real estate market. At the moment I think my criteria are as follows: important unimportant ========= =========== house or townhouse (not condo) size: 2br, 1ba would be fine pleasant backyard age attractive streets, with trees garage under 30 minutes from UCSD view maximum $225000, preferably less away from freeway noise Comments on these criteria are also welcome. I've never bought a house before. Charles Elkan
