It's a New Age So-Cal Crystal Healing Pyramid Power Temple.  Gosh,
didn't you know?       8-)

Actually, I think it's just another office building.  I haven't decided
whether I like it or not, but it certainly is distinctive.  You can see
it pretty easily from a radius of 15 miles or so.  It stands out when
you're flying to/from Lindbergh, as well -- especially at night.

The really neat thing is how they put the icing on that cake.  I
remember watching the building going up, and being impressed with this
glass and steel design, with two inward slanting walls and two rounded
vertical walls.  And then there was this lattice thing they were
constructing in the adjacent parking lot.  In one weekend, they erected
the lattice into the pyramid that stands astride the building.  I'm
sorry I missed seeing _that_ step!  The lighting design is elegant,
too.  Just a bunch of mercury vapor lamps mounted at the base of the
lattice, shining up through it.
