This Mailing list was created on December 29, 1996 and is intended
for basic non-technical PCS discussions as they relate to the San
Diego market. As San Diego is the only area in the country having
2 PCS carriers (with a 3rd due to start-up in January), the retail
market is hopping.

Any San Diegans interested in starting PCS service, current
cellular customers wishing to learn more about the advantages
of PCS, or those who have no wireless phone services but who
have voice mail and/or paging services and may wish to combine
all three services, would be likely candidates for joining this
mailing list.

The thrust of the list at this point in time is for trading
information on the SD retail conditions, new coverage areas,
poor/no coverage areas, special pricing/incentives, tips/hints
for new users of PCS, buy/sell of used/new PCS enduser phones,
batteries, and accesories, and to a limited extent, changes in
cellular brought on by the PCS competition. Technical
discussions shouldn't be more involved than very basic enduser
information such as 800 Mhz vs 1900 gig coverage differences,
digital Vs Analog advantages, etc.

A San Diego Sprint PCS Customers mailing list is also available.
