Buy something that lasts, not something that carks it in a few days.

Much better idea.

An ex of mine used to like cactii, so I got her them, flowers suck,
they're dead before you give them to someone.  

And someone who's "actively wooing" should at least be able to
spell their target's name correctly, no?
