It's a spam trap.  I don't really want email in response to postings;
I prefer followups so everyone can read them.  But if someone does want to
write me, I don't want to force them to "correct" my address.  They just
need to quote my post back, leaving in at least that one line.

The trap works well because spammers who 'harvest' addresses from newsgroups
essentially never read the posts, and even if they did, the code would expire,
probably before they could sell their list of addresses to the next fool
whom they've deluded into believing that spamming can actually make money
(expect for the few thieves who sell addresses and spamming software)
