I need to buy an 8-bit Future Domain SCSI controller for my PC... an 845
or similar.

But that's not the point of this post. What I want to avoid is the task of
calling all the computer stores in town and collecting prices from each.

Wouldn't it be great if we could get the various computer stores to monitor
this newsgroup? Then I could say "I need an x" and within a day or so the
bids would roll in. I could then pick the lowest, or the one with the best
combination of price and after-sale support.
