I am posting this for a friend who works for a Non-Profit Agency here
in San Diego. Being Alive - East County Aids Link - is a not for
profit agency to assist people living with HIV and AIDS for support,
resources, and information. The agency recently was funded for a
computer for access to the information highway...but
unfortunately...there was no money available for any extras...i.e.
14400 modem or any software etc. My friend has checked with the
Director of the organization and if anybody would donate a
tax-deductable contribution (14400 modem, windows software, 2X CDROM,
soundblaster card, speakers etc.) a tax deductable receipt will be
provided. This will be used by people affected by this disease who
might not otherwise have the access to large treatment information and
resources available on the internet. Organization has internet
software on system....just no modem to connect. PLEASE HELP.
