It is with great pleasure that I announce that the general desktop
enhancement
mailing list for OS/2 has been formed. The list has as its primary function
the discussion of methods and techniques of customization of the OS/2 desktop
with a variety of products including Object Desktop, Deskman/2, Filebar,
Mdesk, and just about any other you would like to discuss.

The list will be formally active on 18 April 1996 and will accept
reservations
at that time. I have placed a general information web page at
http://www.best.com/~mperry/os2desk.html for your perusal. This page will
allow interactive subscription on the above date. Subscription information
follows:

1) Digest Option - Email to os2desk-request@lists1.best.com with no subject
and a body that says only "subscribe". 2) Single email Option - Email to
os2desk-request@lists1.best.com with no subject and a body that says only
"subsingle".

I would like to thank all the voters and commenters who offered constructive
criticism on the formation of the list. Let the games begin!!!
