                     Speed-Pascal/2
        An object-oriented Pascal Compiler for OS/2

"If Borland was to create a Borland Pascal for OS/2, there would be nearly no
difference to Speed, I suppose."

Dr. Abimbola Olowofoyeku
The Pascal Magazine, April/Mai 1995

Speed-Pascal/2 was completely rewritten since release 1.0. The following
differences are in existence between release 1.0 and release 1.5:

* the compiler is nearly 3 times faster now
* identifier scoping
* open arrays
* STRING-Type now fully BP-compatible
* smaller and faster programs
* support of more complex function-types
* Sets can keep up to 256 elements

Currently we are working on release 2.0, which will include the following
features :

* Support for Win32s and Win32-Systems
* portable library for OS/2 and Win95
* Visual development environment like Delphi
  Applications can be created visually or "manually".
  The visual application environment is specialized on portable programming
* Applications which were created using Speed-Pascal will be compilable
  under OS/2 and Win32 without any changes on source-level.
  This only excludes platform specific API-calls
