Responding to a message is not the same as responding to a person. He responded to your message, not specifically >to you. If he had responded to you, you would have got it by email. Getting a "proper" newsreader is not as important as understanding what >you're doing with it. Nope, I totally disagree. There's a certain amount of implication as to what and whom you're responding to simply by the position of the postings. If the poster is generally posting in response to the original thread, his post is to respond directly below the original thread, and not under mine. Posting a direct followup under my reply, implys a response header towards me. And since, he didn't mention that his post was directed towards everyone, the clear implication as to who it was directed to will be the immediate post above his - which is me. For ex, I'm responding to you now, and my thread will fall below and indented after yours. If I posted this in any other places, it will be entirely out of sequence. Therefore, it's BEST that newbies or whoever learns to correctly post messages in usenet. Usenet is not some grafitti (which was discussed a long time ago) wall that you just spray on. *********************** * ~Hellfire~ - AGM114 * *********************** "Target in Range"
