You gotta be joking!! But then I've read of people who do drugs, work
on construction sites without helmets, drive fast without wearing a
seat belt, ie, generally do things that they know are bad for them!

This guy Jason aka Sotong seems sincere but the odds against ARIS
are too high:
He could be lying outright
He could be telling half-truths, ie, doesn't tell us the full story on
the poor quality ARIS PCs, eg, changing more than just the occasional
monitor or motherboard
ARIS could use better parts and components for PCs sold to corporate
customers
Preferential service treatment for corporate customers
....
etc., etc., ad nauseam
....,

It wouldn't be fair to your end-users to take the risk. I'd much
rather believe 100 people saying the same thing than one guy yelling
the same thing 100 times at the top of his voice.

But, as I said at the beginning, people are not rational. Otherwise,
there wouldn't be so much debate in the fields of Law and Economics
about what the "average" or "reasonable" person would or wouldn't do.

This is just my opinion, however. You can read and think or just shrug
and duck.

I think you guys should just ignore the blinking sotong. Whyntcha just
let him make a fool of himself? Y'all only encourage the poor sucka to
continue making a fool of himself when you criticize him - dontcha
y'all feel embarassed for him? Jest let him be and, if he has half a
brain, he'll realize its fruitless to defend the indefensible.
Alternatively, put him out of his misery and embarassment and just
letter bomb him and his six-identical-"oops, my PC
screwed-up"-messages messes out of existence. On the other hand, with
his half a brain, he might have faked his mailbox.
Meanwhile, at the bottom of this 'mail, set back and have another
laugh at poor James Tio 'ttempting to sue the whole world in defence
of his crooked bosses. Hah!! If this ain't a clear-cut case of
unscrupulous corporates ripping off weak individual consumers, ah
durn't know what is!!!
Meanwhile, let's just all boycott Aris without making too much of a do
'bout it. We're all agreed its not only incompetent but downright
dishonest as well. But we cairn't do nothing 'bout it 'cos we all not
deep-pocketed corporates.

Using your PC is just like driving a car.
Someday or somehow, your car is going to break down and spoil,
just like your PC.

As a matter of fact, I am not the one who wants to buy 100s of PC for
my
company. I dont hold such authorities, my boss does. He wants Aris and

what can I say?
And the good thing is that I dont encounter any major problems.
I remembered there was once I found a key not working good in one of
those
new sets of Pentium systems which we just bought. All I did was make a

call to Aris and the next day, a Aris personal came with a new
keyboard
and replaced it.
We also have some problems with our older Aris monitors which we had
sent
it in for service and DCS somehow was holding those monitors for weeks
and
we need those monitors badly. All I did was make a call to Aris and
they
loan us some SVGA monitors to standby.

I do not know how bad their home-user support coz I dont own a
personal
computer from Aris. I build and assemble my own PC. If you think Aris
gives bad support to home-user, fine with me becoz I dont own one. I
was
just telling the people out there how Aris gives their support to my
company and how I really appreciate those supports from them. Hope you
do
understand.

Can you believe this guy?! He's actually threatening to sue people who
were cheated by his company!! You guys had better brush up your act
and stop buying Aris!! What's the point of purchasing something
defective and then being dragged to court for complaining about it?!
Yo Aris, who the *&$%#@+)&*$#@ do you thing you guys are?? First you
make false advertising statements, then sell defective and/or
sub-standard products and THEN sue your own customers!!!! Do I have a
loose screw or am I misunderstanding some basic premise here??!! All
my life, I've thought that when someone purchases something, the
product should be fit for the purpose it was sold for, ie, computers
should compute, TVs should receive TV broadcasts, etc..
I think it should be pretty obvious that the guys here all have
legitimate complaints. Why doesn't Aris provide proper support and try
and make amends to legitimate complainants instead of using taking a
hardline?

WELL, F*** YOU ARIS!!

Thanks to all of you who answered my first posting ("Beware of ARIS
Singapore, they're a bunch of thieves": I bought from them a Jazz
Jakarta MPEG card which didn't work, and which they refused to refund
Unfortunately for Those crooks, I had obtained from the salesman to
write on my invoice the mention "took back the card FOR A REFUND",
along with his signature; so they are very anxious to return the card
to me. But what is most funny is that they also sent me a letter
threatening to sue me in case of defamatory remarks! But they've got
heir useless malfunctioning card and my 772$. What else do they want?
Who is the victim? Is it defamatory to tell the truth and say that
they swindled me? I am not going to let them get away with all this,
and I'll inform you folks of all future developments.
 GREETINGS to all,
