...and I don't know what to do! I have a 1987 Chevy Sprint (which is a 3-cylinder, BTW) and my 3rd cylinder is only getting 48 psi compression while the other two are getting 122 psi. This repair can be performed only by the dealer and by very few others. The dealer is in the Bay Area. I am in San Luis Obispo. My car is getting half the milage it used to get, it's going thru a quart of oil every hundred miles, and my top speed is 45 MPH. Even if I could get it to the dealer, the estimate is about $500. I don't have that kind of money. If anyone thinks they can help me at all, please contact me! email is fine before Oct.15, but after that, call me at 541-5325. --Colleen.
