I think it's probably the same everywhere you go.  We registered at
Crate and Barrel at the Pentagon City Mall (or the Pennygone Maul and we
refer to it), and had a mixed experience.  We both had most of what we
need already, so registering wasn't necessary.  But we decided to get
new dishes and glassware and a few other things.  Well.  They never got
the order right for our place settings.... We now have 8 settings, but
only six salad plates (and two bread plates).  About 3 months ago, they
cancelled the pattern that our glasses were in (I need to find a few
more of them, we never filled the pattern for that), and we have two
sets of the same mixing bowls, because the registry never showed one
being purchased.  

Other than that, the experience was a good one.
