Faced with a small but growing Duplicate set of Thai Language materials, the Monash University South-east Asian Studies Librarian and I began brainstorming.... What would be the most beneficial means of ridding ourselves of these duplicates? One possible solution that we came up with was to organize a swap of duplicate materials with another library somewhere. This has the added advantage of supporting not only each others collections but adding to own (and your) own. To avoid all of the potential administrative nightmares that this could entail it would only ever be a rather informal agreement than anything else. If your any of your libraries are in the position of having Thia language materials, and would be interested in organizing a swap of duplicates on some to be determined basis, please contact me at either of the following addresses. Or, on the other hand, if you have any better ideas I would love to hear them. Thanking you, David Godley -- _____________________________________________________________________________ David Godley: c/- Technical Services, Main Library, Monash University, Clayton 3168 AUSTRALIA jamys@yoyo.cc.monash.edu.au davidg@vaxc.cc.monash.edu.au
