Anyone have any interesting .exrc's they'd like to share?

[.exrc is a vi configuration file, presumably similar to Emacs'
 .emacs. ]

I'd like to get an idea of the creative things people can do with
vi/VIM, etc. I've already seen
http://www.math.fu-berlin.de/~guckes/setup/exrc but it's really short.

While I'm asking, has anyone ever used Perl scripting in vi? How does
that work and how does it compare to Emacs Lisp?

Thanks,
Navin

No, no, and no.

However, this post propagated to Concordia in socs.misc. I suspect it
was just because of the crosspost to a group on here, though. Figured
I'd point it out.

It's too bad, really. I'd like to keep up on SOCS from here.

That's okay, I got some really hot tips from Louis. Nothing on the
perl scripting yet although, I can see how one might go about piping
vi buffers through perl. :)

Yeah, I think it's because of the way INN works. My (educated)
guess:

- INN gets article posted to concordia.general.
- INN sees that article is crossposted to more than one newsgroup.
- INN creates relevant symlinks to article.

That makes sense seeing that the Message-ID of the article is the same
in both newsgroups.

Only fair that I now mention:
