He could just be ignorant, or he's especially drawn to the judicial branch of government to be the surrogate parent supreme. Hopefully, if that is so, one day he'll wake up. It would be pitiful if he not only didn't, but also felt there was nothing wrong with government defining the value of Pi as 3.0 (which almost happened once, in the past). Now he may say all he wants that Pi is whatever the government says it is (especially if the courts uphold the law), but the rest of us know better. Dave Simpson
