-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- This Frequently Asked Questions file concerns *problems* with Windows 95's networking features, many of them rather serious. It is not an end-user setup or marketing FAQ. I believe I have expunged all known blatant errors and Microsoft-bashing; if you notice any, please mail me. I've (finally) posted the "final" draft to comp.answers,news.answers, comp.os.ms-windows.win95.setup, etc. in two parts with the following Message-IDs (in the References: header, for those of you reading this with intelligent newsreaders): <win95netbugs-FAQ-1_12-10-95@nntp.stanford.edu> (53K) <win95netbugs-FAQ-2_12-10-95@nntp.stanford.edu> (35K) The FAQ is also immediately available from ftp.stanford.edu in the directory pub/mailing-lists/win95netbugs. It should show up at your news server and at the various RTFM mirrors in a few days. The Web version is on an array of DNS load-balancing SPARCServers at: http://www-leland.stanford.edu/~llurch/win95netbugs/faq.html For those of you with old name servers that don't like DNS load-balancing, the same file is at: http://www-dccs.stanford.edu/NetConsult/Win95Net/faq.html And also in the FTP directory above. The text version is actually a minor revision ahead of the HTML version at the moment, but this will change Soon. The HTML version should be considered authoritative. Currently, an archive of the associated win95netbugs mailing list is at gopher://quixote.stanford.edu/1m/win95netbugs. Currently, no digest version of the mailing list is available. *Both of these are expected to change by late January*. For information on subscribing to the win95netbugs mailing list, please send a blank email message to win95netbugs-request@lists.stanford.edu, *not to me*. Note that subscribe/unsubscribe requests go to majordomo@lists.stanford.edu, not to me, and not to the list (which is semi-moderated anyway). - -rich llurch@networking.stanford.edu -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.2 iQCVAwUBMMv0Ko3DXUbM57SdAQHjDAQAxkaEvqGNSTfPGOqecXuZTeCrqj1ZKV3r tLntKeA5rAiu5SWhyGlWyheCsyywVi+eTQakC5DgGxoisY1OuF56jdyS4oFMo9Pw hfsbW4z7nnB1+/vRbbnzTgPx0LIgtArAi5gMn8xjb1dNhsHkTqzkl9JWI09DfVVd Cch6hAMbqjs= =bq+d -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
