It sounds like power management to me also. Your CPU can reclock at lower speeds to save power (must save alot of watts ?????). It sounds as if your PC is having trouble 'waking up' and this is probably due to the hardware. If I were you, I would set my power management to the most basic settings possible, or even disable it completely, unless of course you really need it. I have found power managemnt on some hardware to cause all sorts of problems that usually reslut in poor reliablitiy. >Leon Brooks <leonb@ami.com.au> wrote in article ><353F6F86.91D4A7E7@ami.com.au>... >> Scott Bradfield wrote: >> > -recently I've noticed that if I leave my computer on for a while >> > without using it, when I go to use it again, it's like my computer is >> > acting is slow motion (ie. screen saver barely moves, mouse moves >> > slowly, computer acts slowly, etc). >> >> MICROS~1 bit rot at work, do not disturb. >> >> > Also, I seem to get a lot of >> > messages saying that the system is dangerouly low in resources. >> >> Maybe a memory leak in the srceen-saver?
