I'm not laughing at Amiga Loyalists -- to each his own!... :)

I've been working on both PCs and Macs since 1982-83 (word processing
mostly). Yes, you are right that the PCs are less expensive, but in my
experience the Macs are WAY more reliable, and for me, that makes the
extra $$ well worth it. Plus every time my PC-clone has gone down, it's
been in and out of the shop 3-4 times before it's fixed properly...but in
the 13 steady years I've been using Macs, I've only bought 3 of them, and
the reason was only to keep things current, not because they stopped
working. In all that time, I've only had one floppy drive go out, and I
bought a new one and installed it myself! No problem! From a user
standpoint, Macs are so much easier to use -- if you don't know how to do
something, you go to the *logical* place, and can find the answer yourself
in most cases. OTOH, on the PC, if you don't know how to do something,
often times you're just stuck until you find a PC-wizard to show you how
or call tech support -- thinking logically on the PC doesn't get you too
far. Not to mention that when you buy software for the Mac, you can rest
assured that if you have all the requirements listed on the box, you can
bring it home and install it and it will work fine! On the PC, however,
having all the requirements listed on the box doesn't guarantee a thing --
particularly with the games. And there is nothing more frustrating than
installing software and getting nothing but error messages.

Just *my* 2-cents worth based on my experiences with the two.
