So...the CA tax forms apparently say you can't take the renters' credit
if you live on tax-exempt property...and I was told that Stanford is
tax-exempt, and as such people who pay for housing here can't take the
credit.

Does anybody know about this definitively, one way or the other?

Thanks

People living in E.V. may not take the Renter's Credit on their California
taxes. This is posted every year in the Village Express which is
distributed to all E.V. residents (if their GRA bothers to distribute it).

Isn't there an exception made for people who lived in EV for less than 6 months
last year?
