[WANTED]: Info on coast ride to Santa Cruz

Hi,

I don't know whether this is the right place to ask my question, but I
didn't know any place else to turn to for help.

A couple of days ago I turned on the TV (think it was channel 36) and
just saw the last few seconds of an add for kind of a fund raising
thing that (I suppose)

  * is a 2-days bike ride to Santa Cruz along the coast on Hwy 1
  * includes some camping
  * is someday in June or July
  * has a 800-# for more information

I'd appreciate if somebody with more knowledge on where to register,
etc. could let me know. Thanx in advance.

Riding along Hwy 1 is very dangerous and should be avoided at all 
costs, right John?

You've got it all wrong.  Hwy 1 is fine.  Doing any ride with the Stanford
Cycling Club is dangerous, and should be avoided at all costs.
