Mountain View Community Services Agency Santa Claus Bicycle Exchange Program

Do you have a bicycle which your kids have outgrown? Have you been meaning
to get rid of that clunker you no longer ride since you purchased a new 21
speed composite monocoque dual suspension superbike? How about donating that
used bike to the Mountain View Community Services Agency Santa Claus
Exchange Program? Last December, we were able to repair and donate more than
150 bikes for needy kids and adults. We also are glad to receive parts, tires
inner tubes, saddles, helmets, locks and other accessories.

This year, thanks to some help from Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, we have
space to store bikes and parts. We can accept bikes year round. Get a tax
credit, enjoy good bikema (bicycle karma), help disadvantaged families enjoy
an out-of-car experience!

To donate a bike there are two options:

(1) Bikes may be donated during normal working hours at the Mountain View
Community Services Agency, 204 Stierlin Road, Mountain View, CA 94043.
Contact Penny Morehead, (408) 964-4630.

(2) On select days (Saturday 11/23 and Saturday 12/7), 10:00 am
to 2:00 pm, bicycles may be brought directly to our warehouse at 2566
Leghorn Street, Mountain View. Leghorn runs between San Antonio and
Rengstorff. We are located in the back of Pedro's Auto Clinic. Go all the
way around to the rear of the building and look for the bikes!

Want to repair bikes? Want to lean how? Volunteer for a work day (11/23, 12/7). We have some tools and bike stands. Bring tools if you can. Many hands make
light work!
