I have a collection of old iron that I can no longer use. I'm looking for a good home for it; barring that, I'll drop them off at the local recycling center. NOTE WELL: There isn't a machine in this lot physically capable of running a web browser; these are strictly for old machine hackers. * DEC PDP-11/73 in eight-slot Q-Bus rack mount chassis. Q-Bus cards include Qual Serial, 1MB RAM, and SCSI host adapter. Storage includes 8MB and 60MB 5" half-height drives in an home-made external box. I don't trust the external SCSI box, but everything was fully functional when last used about eight years ago. (At the time, the box was a mail and Usenet server.) Includes BSD 2.9 on 9-track mag tape. If you plan on running UNIX, I'd recommend locating a copy of BSD 2.10. * Cromemco System I, System II, and System III S-100 chassis (1 of each). Large collection of S100 cards, including ZPU, XPU, memory, floppy controllers, and one IMI disk controller. Very last production releases of C-DOS and Cromix, and a wide variety of CP/M compatabile software. Storarge includes Shugart 8" DS/DD, Teac 5" DS/DD, Persci 8" DS/DD, and IDI 5" 5MB hard drive. All systems where fully functional when last used, which was from 5 to 8 years ago. (Given the highly tempermental nature of the Persci drives, I would assume they're junk now, but everything else should work.) * Chromatics CG1500 color computer. It worked 10 years ago, but I'd assume it's for parts, now. Includes 15" monitor that can probably be adapted to VGA, although probably not higher than 640x480. I'll be willing to delivery pretty much anywhere in the Bay Area (especially if you have someplace nearby with good beer where you can tell what you plan to do with the machine), but I'm not willing to pay shipping costs. Reply via E-Mail, or call 650-961-5426 evenings. <csg>
