Help: Where to buy PC BIOS near Mtn View?

I just upgraded my 386-25 PC clone (made by Tangent) to
Windows 3.1, and I'm getting frequent crashes--usually,
General Protection Faults--in 386 enhanced mode; the problem
doesn't seem to occur in Standard mode. The problem always
seems to occur during disk activity. It usually happens when
running Ami Pro but I've seen it crash in the same way running
the vanilla Microsoft Win 3.1 accessories.

The mother board is called "386A"; I'm not sure who the
manufacturer is (BSI?-- I believe it's from Taiwan).

The tech support people at Microsoft and Tangent tell me that
it might help to upgrade my ROM BIOS chips to a newer
version. I currently have an AMI BIOS dated March '89.

Can anyone recommend a good place near Mountain View to buy a
ROM BIOS? What should I expect to pay for it? Any preferred
brand or type? One feature I'd appreciate is a faster power-on
memory test!

Thanks in advance,
