FTP to Why?

I've attempted to FTP to Why web services and the file(s) 
get mostly xfered but never close.  They show 100% done 
but hang without closing the xfer.  I now have 3 core HTML 
files that are corrupted at the web site. This seems to be 
an issue in the connection between IA and Why.
