Fan-freaking-tastic. Where else but the Hopetoun do you arrive at 8:30pm to see 2/3 of the headlining band sitting on the front step eating a kebab? Trish has been back in Sydney for over a year now and they'd released an EP (with Jodi's husband Tim Oxley on drums) as The Girls From The Clouds in 2005. Why wasn't I told?!?! They played some new stuff from the EP, plus the demo they were giving out on the door, plus some of the old stuff which sounded great. When I closed my eyes it felt like first year again :-). I nabbed a setlist: Closer Say Mabel Saw you Princess Aqua Mary Super Wish Wibbley Domino Kathy Bye bye Do Show Calm Bower ---- Sugar House Hero Beyond Huge set, as you can see. All of it fantastic. They can still sing and they can still write bloody good pop songs. Great to have them back! Supporting were The Boobytraps -- anyone know if there's any relation? There was a certain rhino-familial resemblence between Jodi and one of the singers... Cheers, Robert.
