Not loving the double negatives there, Neo. Doubleplus ungood.

Anyway, define "poison". I am, for example, allergic to dust and
pollen. I've already become resistant to most allergy meds, so I take
the few that work only when I ABSOLUTELY have to in order to breathe.

Do I demand that my office building shut off its heat because the dust
that the heating ducts circulate causes me to cough up phlegm? Should
I mow down my neighbors' flower beds because they give me the
sniffles? At some point I must accept that they are ultimately my
allergies, and that I have to accept the cards that God (or some
random combination of genetic material that smashed into each other
when Dad gave the High Hard One to dear ol' mum) has dealt me.
